Role overview

We are seeking a Senior Maximo Technical Consultant based out of our Edmonton or Calgary office. Travel is required for this position and candidates from outside Edmonton or Alberta area are encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Configure and customize Maximo EAM solutions
  2. Provide technical leadership throughout the lifecycle of a project
  3. Utilize in-depth knowledge of work flows, system configuration, and customizations to develop asset management technical solutions for customers
  4. Convert functional requirements into technical specifications
  5. Manage and mentor staff
  6. Prepare technical documentation
  7. Take an active role in preparing responses to RFI and RFPs
  8. Provide client support

Job Requirements:

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree and have five (5) or more years of experience implementing IBM Maximo, or a comparable EAM system, and possess the following:

  1. Database experience (SQL Server, Oracle and/or DB2)
  2. IBM WebSphere and/or BEA WebLogic experience
  3. SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle) expertise
  4. Windows and Linux/Solaris experience Java experience
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  6. Ability to travel within the USA and Canada

We are currently looking for a Functional Analyst / Business Consultant to join our team in Calgary or Edmonton.

Role overview

As a Functional Analyst / Business Consultant you will be a part of a team that gathers requirements and drills through the details to delivers industrial asset management solutions. This is an energetic role that gives you the opportunity to interact with clients in various industries who are looking to you to help solve problems and complete their plans. Travel may be required. This is a permanent, full time position.

As a Maximo Functional Analyst / Business Consultant, you will:

  1. Gather, analyze and document business process and functional requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
  2. Identify opportunities and provide recommendations on business process improvement.
  3. Assist with system configuration and testing.
  4. Develop test scripts and facilitate User Acceptance Testing sessions.
  5. Develop training materials and deliver end user training.
  6. Facilitate meetings, prepare status reports and effectively communicate with business users and project team.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should possess the following:

  1. University/college degree plus 3 years business analysis experience;
  2. Functional knowledge of IBM Maximo is a strong asset.
  3. Business process improvement and requirement gathering experience.
  4. Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  5. Superior analytical and problem solving abilities.
  6. Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills.
